Welcome

Dear Parents,
On behalf of the grade 7 teachers at the A’Takamul International School (ATIS), I would like to welcome you and your child back for the 2012 – 2013 school year. We are ready for an exciting year with new faces and engaging classes. We are committed to offering you a student-centered, well-rounded, challenging, and hands-on academic program that will equip your son or daughter with the necessary skills to be successful in middle school, high school, and beyond.

We recognize the importance of the school and the family working together. Open communication and collaboration will provide the best possible environment for our children to grow and learn. All students have been provided with a green agenda book, where they can write down homework assignments, learn about extra-curricular activities and events, set goals, and consult the school calendar. Expectations are high when it comes to academic effort and living by the ATIS values of thinking critically, acting with integrity and striving for excellence.

Middle school is a period in which adolescents begin to make lifelong choices. Students should always try their best, never be afraid to fail, and know there are many people to turn to for support. Please feel free to e-mail me (fahad.aljarah@gmail.com), if you have any questions about 7th grade. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
Fahad Al-Jarah
Gr.7 Coordinator
